Thorntree's riverside location and its unique position within the National Park allows for a wide choice of activities, including sunset cruises, game drives, cultural tours, fishing and, of course, visits to the Falls themselves during your Zambia safari. The Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park is a sanctuary for white rhino as well as a haven for many other species including elephant, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and a wide variety of birds.
A comfortable pontoon boat takes guests out onto the Zambezi River where you can enjoy and appreciate the unspoiled beauty of this lovely stretch of river. Feel its peace and serenity while you enjoy a drink, cast a line or raise your binoculars to the passing array of animals and birds.
Adventure lovers on a Zambia safari will also be able to experience white water rafting, river boarding, tandem kayaking and bungi jumping, as well as sightseeing flights over the Falls by helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft or microlight. All activities can be pre-booked or can be booked with the Thorntree staff, who will also arrange appropriate transport as necessary.Morning and evening river cruises. Game drives into the Mosi-O-Tunya National Park. Cultural and museum visits in and around Livingstone. Visits to the 'Victoria Falls' Adventure activities such as white water rafting, canoeing, elephant back rides, riverboarding, bunji jumping, abseiling, gorge swings, microlighting and helicopter flights etc. can be booked whilst staying at Thorntree, but at an extra cost - prices on request. We can also arrange day trips to Chobe National Park on request.
N.B. - Please note that all park entry fees are extra and payable direct. i.e. For a Tour of the Falls guests will be required to pay US$10 per person entry fee. (This is subject to change without prior notice).
Client Requirements:
If travelling from Zimbabwe : customs and immigration formalities must be cleared. Facilitation at both border posts has been organised to speed up this procedure.
Double entry visa for Zimbabwe - if required. Return air tickets or vehicle registration particulars - if required. Advise Safari Par Excellence of any dietary requirements or medical conditions.
