Kiubo River Lodge and Kulefu Game Lodge are both located in the Lower Zambezi Valley of Zambia.

This is well below the Victoria Falls, Zambia and the river flows wide and steady on its eastward journey towards the sea.
The Lower Zambezi was once a forgotten wilderness but now has several safari lodges taking advantage of its amazing array of wildlife in extraordinarily beautiful scenery. The waters of the Zambezi are a focal point for the wildlife, which includes Elephant, Hippo, Buffalo, Zebra, Lion, Leopard, Antelope, Baboon and Vervet monkey.
Kiubo River Lodge is a truly stunning safari location with a perfect combination of open plains, dense palm groves, thickly wooded clusters and deep sandy riverbanks.
Access is by air to the nearby Royal airstrip then a short transfer to the lodge. Kiubo River Lodge can also be reached by 4WD vehicles during the dry season only from April to December. Kiubo River Lodge has radio communication and vehicles and boats are in contact with the lodge at all times.

The best time to visit the Lower Zambezi River Valley is during the dry season from June to November. The weather starts off warm and dry with quite cool nights, then progresses to hot and dry with warm nights by October/November.

Expect sizzling daytime temperatures of 35°C (95°F) in November. The hot and humid rainy season begins in December and many lodges close for the wet season and open again in late May or June.
