This Zambia accommodation is the home of Robin and Jo Pope and is located on their private land along the banks of the Luangwe River and is open all year round. Nkwali is also the only camp, rather than lodge, located in the central Mfuwe area of the South Luangwe.
These camps are designed for quality, comfort and convenience while still maintaining that unique wildlife experience. The camps are simple and elegant, with spectacular views and open air bathrooms. The main structures of the camp are without walls as not to to block the view of the bush. This Zambia accommodation provides guests with a fun, relaxing and friendly atmosphere in the middle of the beautiful and tranquil African bush.
Child Policy:
This Zambia accommodation accepts children over the age of 7 years old. Nkwali Camp has lovingly designed activities specifically with children in mind. Your hosts at Nkwali Camp will meet with you and your children and tailor make a programme suitable to your children's needs and interests. Parents are welcome to join in, where the families can go on game drives and walks together (depending on the age of the children).
Parents will be able to enjoy a morning or afternoon game drive knowing that their children are having fun and learning about nature in a safe environment. Each child is given a 'kiddies pack' with lots of information, a quiz, star chart etc. The children will get a chance to visit a nearby wildlife centre and enjoy a trip to the Kawaza village to see real rural living as well as visiting the local school.
